Platform Rules & Latest Policy Interpretation

Ozon's rules change frequently, especially in 2026 with multiple adjustments to commissions, logistics fees, and compliance requirements. This tutorial helps you understand the latest policies, avoid account risks, and establish a continuous tracking mechanism.

1. Major 2026 Policy Changes

1.1 Commission & Logistics Fee Increases (From August 28, 2026, mainly affecting local stores)

  • This round of adjustments mainly covers local store FBO, FBS, and realFBS modes; whether and by how much Chinese cross-border stores are synchronously adjusted, please refer to "Finance → Store Economics" in your registered entity's seller backend
  • Under local store FBS mode, commission for products priced below 100 rubles increased from 14% to 20%
  • Commission for products priced 101-300 rubles increased from 20% to 26%
  • Commission for most categories of products above 300 rubles increased by about 5-6 percentage points
  • Shoe category commission can reach up to 50% (FBO) / 55% (rFBS)
  • Remote area logistics fees increased significantly, with the Far East region rising up to 275%
  • The platform has sent a clear signal: guiding sellers to transition to FBP/FBO warehousing models; cross-border store sellers should also pay attention to whether they will be synchronously required to transition

1.2 Zero Deposit Entry (Chinese Cross-border Stores)

  • In 2026, Chinese cross-border sellers have no entry deposit, annual fee, or registration fee
  • A single business license can register up to 10 stores
  • But rules are stricter, and review focuses more on document consistency

Note: Some Channels Show Deposit Requirements

Some sources mention that from July 2026, some new registration processes require payment of a 2,400 RMB "refundable deposit." Whether this policy targets specific entities, specific channels, or has been adjusted, please refer to what is displayed in your current Ozon backend at registration. If you encounter third-party agents requiring advance payment, please verify through the official account manager or official customer service first.

1.3 Logistics Fee Reform & Subsidies (Note Timeliness and Target Audience)

  • Around July 2026, Ozon lowered many FBO/FBS logistics rates and canceled FBO cross-warehouse transfer box and pallet handling fees
  • After the August 28, 2026 new policy, large items no longer have a free storage period; inbound storage is charged at 0.04 rubles/liter/day
  • This round of logistics fee reform mainly covers local stores; whether cross-border store logistics billing is synchronously adjusted, please refer to actual rates in the seller backend
  • Regardless of store type, logistics strategy should be recalculated based on "actual volume + delivery direction + storage fee"

2. Compliance & Certification Requirements

2.1 Electronics / Home Appliances

  • Require EAC certification, GOST R certification
  • Some products require ROHS environmental certification
  • Information security devices require FSTEC certification

2.2 Children's Products

  • Require EAC children's special certification
  • Labels and instructions must be in Russian
  • Material safety must meet Russian standards

2.3 Beauty / Medical / Food

  • Cosmetics require Russian Rospotrebnadzor sanitary registration
  • Medical devices require additional registration permits
  • Food category has extremely high barriers; not recommended for new sellers

Key Controlled Products

In 2026, Ozon is strictly controlling: e-cigarettes, some ultra-thin plastic products, low-energy-efficiency home appliances, and uncertified information security products. Please confirm qualifications before listing.

3. Account Security & Association Risks

3.1 Avoid Account Association

  • One device, one account, one network; do not share the same device or IP across multiple stores
  • Use professional browsers such as Ziniao, Cross Border Guard, AdsPower to manage multiple accounts
  • Registration email, mobile number, and collection account must be independent

3.2 Common Account Ban Reasons

  • False documents or inconsistent information
  • Selling counterfeit/infringing products
  • Large-scale fake shipping or logistics fraud
  • Fake orders, manipulating reviews
  • Long-term inactivity or long-term loss-making operations
